Description

EigenLayer revolutionizes the Web3 landscape by enabling Restaking, a mechanism that repurposes Ethereum’s existing staking capital to secure new decentralized services. It solves one of the biggest bottlenecks in blockchain innovation — the challenge of bootstrapping cryptoeconomic security and validator networks for every new project. With EigenLayer, developers can leverage Ethereum’s trust and security to deploy Autonomous Verifiable Services (AVSs) — such as oracles, bridges, rollups, or AI agents — without building an entirely new blockchain. The protocol aggregates a network of restakers and Operators, who validate and run these AVSs while earning rewards for good performance or facing slashing for violations. This system aligns incentives between all participants, ensuring both economic efficiency and accountability. By offering “Cryptoeconomic Security as a Service,” EigenLayer allows builders to focus on product innovation instead of security infrastructure. Its composable architecture integrates seamlessly with the broader Ethereum ecosystem, preserving decentralization and interoperability. For developers and restakers alike, EigenLayer represents the next evolution of secure, permissionless infrastructure for Web3.

Description

Introducing the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol, often referred to as IBC, which functions as the IP layer specifically designed for blockchains. IBC stands out as the most secure, decentralized method for transferring assets between various blockchains, facilitating interoperability across a multitude of chains. Evmos, utilizing the Cosmos SDK, is the pioneering IBC-compatible EVM-based chain that enhances Ethereum's capabilities by introducing composability, interoperability, and rapid finality. Built on a scalable proof-of-stake model, Evmos provides a version of Ethereum that is both efficient and adaptable. This platform enables the operation of standard Ethereum as a specialized Cosmos application blockchain, allowing developers to harness Ethereum's essential features while reaping the benefits of Tendermint's PoS framework. Additionally, being constructed upon the Cosmos SDK, Evmos is equipped to transact value seamlessly within the broader Cosmos Ecosystem via the IBC protocol, thus broadening its potential use cases and enhancing cross-chain interactions. Overall, Evmos represents a significant advancement in blockchain technology, merging the strengths of both Ethereum and Cosmos into a single, powerful platform.
