Description

The annual expenses associated with commercial tort litigation targeting businesses, which encompass benefits paid, losses, legal fees, and administrative expenditures such as document collection and attorney meetings, were estimated at around $160 billion, culminating in nearly $1.6 trillion over the course of a decade. To create a deep learning model focused on the federal court’s civil rights-employment category, specifically "employment discrimination," we gathered factual allegations from 400 federal court complaints—excluding any email data. This model was deployed on GPU instances within Microsoft Azure and AWS, where it was evaluated using 20,401 emails from the Enron dataset, marking the first instance the model encountered email data. Each identified true positive email can be exported to a platform for internal investigations or case management purposes, enhancing the model’s utility. Furthermore, with an integrated database connected to the user interface, users have the capability to save these true positives, incorporate them into the initial training set, and subsequently re-train the model for improved accuracy and performance. As a result, this continual learning process ensures that the model evolves and adapts over time to better identify relevant cases.

Description

Mass torts earn their name due to the sheer scale of the litigations, which can encompass thousands or even hundreds of thousands of claimants, an extensive array of data, and numerous stages from initial intake through to final resolution. Handling litigation of such proportions necessitates a robust platform that can effectively organize, analyze, and manage vast quantities of claimant information. SimplyConvert’s Mass Torts 360™, conceived by a mass tort attorney specifically for fellow mass tort attorneys, leverages technological advancements to streamline the litigation process, addressing the common challenges faced in mass tort cases. Whether overseeing a large-scale multidistrict litigation (MDL) or managing a smaller number of cases, our comprehensive solution is expertly designed to assist you in navigating every aspect of the litigation journey. This innovative tool allows law firms to rank and classify cases according to any criteria they choose, such as injury type, case date, claimant age, or referral sources, and make real-time adjustments via an intuitive dashboard interface. Consequently, this empowers each attorney to enhance their case management strategies and optimize outcomes effectively. In the fast-paced world of mass torts, having access to such advanced tools can significantly reduce stress and improve overall efficiency.
