SAP Variant Configuration and Pricing integrates two cloud-native offerings within the SAP Business Technology Platform to manage intricate product modeling and real-time pricing without altering the core of your ERP system. The Variant Configuration component allows users to establish characteristics, dependencies, and constraint rules for products in SAP ERP or S/4HANA, transferring that knowledge to the cloud to provide an interactive configuration experience that is aware of rules, complete with pre- and post-processing extension hooks. Meanwhile, the Pricing component takes in replicated sales pricing information, implements SAP's condition-technical rules alongside external condition sources and custom pricing formulas, calculating prices for both configurable and non-configurable items based on documents or without state, supporting various calculation methods such as percentage, fixed amounts, and quantity-based approaches while retaining the results of runtime pricing.
