Vertigraph develops quantity takeoff software used for developing the estimate for commercial construction activities. Most of our customers create the estimate (which is applying costs to the quantities) using Microsoft Excel.
SiteWorx/OS creates 3D models of the existing and proposed site based on elevations obtained from PDF and/or AutoCAD DWG files. The volumes and locations of cuts and fills are calculated from these 3D models. AutoCAD files are also provided that have elevation and positioning data that are used for machine control.
BidScreen XL, our other application, provides simple measuring from PDF and AutoCAD files directly in Excel. The color-coded takeoff is saved with the Excel cell and workbook. No need to flop back and forth between Excel and a different takeoff application. With BidScreen XL everything is done in Excel. Excel functions and formulas provide further calculations to the measurement and Excel also organizes the takeoff and estimate.
